Tony’s national and international experience ranges from professional trail companies to governmental agencies to non-profits. Tony has founded four successful trail companies, including Tony Boone Trails and Timberline TrailCraft. In the past, he was President of Anasazi Trails, Inc., his team completed a 475 km Trail Feasibility Study for the Rio Grande Trail from Belen, NM to the Mexico Border. As President of Arrowhead Trails, Inc., he developed Trail Master Plans for 20 Colorado State Parks. Tony continues to partner with advocates, land managers and agencies, having completed over 400 successful projects in fifteen states and nine countries including: Canada, Australia, Hong Kong, China, Costa Rica, Iceland, Aruba, and the Philippines. Prior to his experience in the private sector, he was a Natural Resource Specialist and Park Ranger for eight years with Boulder County Parks & Open Space, responsible for developing park/trail master plans and natural resource management plans. Beyond his extensive planning, design and construction experience, Boone is a highly sought after professional trails educator, instructing and training literally thousands of students around the world in the art of sustainable trail management. Additional accomplishments include: the first official mountain bike patrol in Colorado in 1989, training eight International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA) Trail Care Crews (1997-2011), developing and conducting mechanized training for the IMBA Trail Solutions Crew (2001), and contributing to three IMBA books: Trail Solutions: IMBA’s Guide to Building Sweet Singletrack, Managing Mountain Bikes:IMBA’s Guide to Providing Great Riding and Bike Parks: IMBA’s Guide to New School Trails.
