Our courses are designed for city and transportation planners, civil and transportation engineers, landscape architects, urban designers, policy makers and government officials, community organizers and transportation advocates — and anyone passionate about building safer, healthier, more walkable and bikeable communities.

Anyone who plans, designs, builds, funds, operates, promotes, or simply cares about safer streets, better bicycle/pedestrian facilities, and more walkable communities. That includes urban planners, transportation and civil engineers, landscape architects, urban designers, public officials, advocates, community organizers, trail managers, and active transportation enthusiasts at every experience level.

Are there any prerequisites for enrollment?
There are no prerequisites. Most of our courses are suitable for anyone interested in active transportation, regardless of their background.
How are the courses structured?
Each course is built around a high-quality, on-demand webinar led by a recognized industry expert, followed by a short quiz to reinforce key takeaways. You’ll get practical, real-world insights on topics like inclusive mobility design, complete streets, trail planning, funding strategies, safety and Vision Zero, equitable transportation, and building healthier communities — all available whenever it fits your schedule. Most learners finish a course in one sitting, and as soon as you pass the quiz, your certificate is emailed to you instantly so you can claim your credits right away.
How do I purchase and access the courses?
Simply select an Annual Subscription or Monthly Subscription plan and complete the secure checkout to unlock our entire course library and gain access to the videos, resources, quizzes, and certificates of completion upon passing each quiz. Want to try before you buy? We have made a selection of courses freely available for anyone to take by signing up for our Free Subscription plan (no credit card needed).
How much does BikePedEd cost?
Our Monthly Subscription is $29.95/month, while our Annual Subscription costs just $14.95 per month (billed annually). Purchase a subscription plan and get unlimited access to our entire course library. Cancel anytime. Your access to our courses, videos, quizzes and certificates of completion will remain active until the end of your subscription term.
Are the courses suitable for beginners or experienced professionals?
They’re designed for everyone. Whether you’re just starting out or have years of experience, you’ll find value: newcomers gain essential foundational knowledge, and seasoned professionals explore advanced topics, funding strategies, implementation tactics, and inspiring real-world case studies.
How long does it take to complete a Course?
This depends on the course and the learner. However, most course webinars are an hour long with a 24 question quiz.
How do I log in?
Click “My Account” (or the “student” icon) in the main menu to access the login page. If you have not yet created an account, click “Pricing” in the main menu and select a plan by clicking the “Subscribe” button to continue with your account registration.
What if I just want to watch one course?
Unfortunately, individual courses aren’t available to purchase separately. You can select a Monthly Subscription plan to access the full course library and then cancel your account before its renewal date. We also have a selection of courses freely available for anyone to take by signing up for our Free Subscription plan (no credit card needed).
I forgot my password. How do I reset it?
If you’ve forgotten your password, click the “My Account” link in the top menu and then select the “Lost your password?” link. Enter your registered email address, and we will send you instructions on how to reset it.
Purchases and Billing
What are my billing options?
Our Courses are offered on a recurring billing basis. You can sign up for monthly or annually billed plans. We can also accommodate invoiced annual plan purchases.
How do I update my billing information?
Just click the “Pricing” menu at the top of our site for full details on our subscription plans. You can start with a one-month subscription for unlimited access to our entire library (plus, everything we add later), or try our free courses first.
What if I need to change my enrollment?
You can change your enrollment from a monthly subscription to an annual subscription and visa versa through the “My Account” menu optoin. The change will take effect at the end of the current billing cycle.
Can I get a refund if I’m not satisfied with a course?
We’re unable to provide refunds, as your subscription instantly unlocks our entire on-demand library. That’s why we offer free previews and detailed syllabi for every course—so you can be certain it’s the right fit before you commit. However, if you contact us by filling out and submitting this form within two (2) calendar days after a renewal date to cancel a renewed subscription, you are eligible to receive a full refund of the new subscription fees.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel your subscription at any time. To do so, log in to your account, go to the “Subscription” section, and follow the cancellation instructions. Your access will continue until the end of your current billing period. Please note that this is the only valid method for canceling your plan; requests made via email or phone are not considered valid and will not accomplish cancellation.
Can more than one person take the course for the same price (within the same firm)? If not, could we get a group discount if there was enough interest?
Yes! Our group plan is a great way to save on training for the entire organization. Please contact our support team through the Contact Us page on our website.
When will my credit card be charged?
Your credit card is automatically charged on the same day of the month as your original transaction. If that specific date does not exist in a subsequent month (e.g., you subscribed on January 31st), the renewal will occur on the final day of that month (e.g., February 28th). Access to the service is granted effectively only upon payment of these fees.
Do promotional discounts apply to my subscription renewal?
No. Discounts, rebates, or special offers are valid for the initial term only. All subscriptions will renew at the then-current full subscription rate.
What happens if my payment information is incorrect?
If we are unable to renew your subscription due to inaccurate or outdated credit card information, the Company reserves the right to terminate your subscription and these terms.
Will I lose access immediately after I cancel?
No. Once you cancel, you will retain access to your membership through the end of your current billing cycle. For example, if you are usually charged on the 10th of the month and you cancel on April 25th, you will continue to have access until May 10th. Or, if you have an annual subscription your access will remain open for the remainder of the time you have left on your annual subscription.
Continuing Education and Certification Maintenance Credit
Do my certificates expire?
Certificates that you earn through course completion are proof of that completion and therefore have no expiration date. Your certification entity may have restrictions on how long after credits are valid after being issued and you should contact them to see how long afterwards they remain valid.
Which courses are eligible for AICP CM credit?
The majority of our courses are AICP CM-approved. When you visit a course page and open the “Course Details” tab, you’ll immediately see if it’s eligible and exactly how many CM credits it provides.
What types of certifications can I earn through BikePedED?
Our courses provide professionally recognized Continuing Education (CE) credits and, where applicable, Certification Maintenance (CM) credits from leading organizations, including:
American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP)
American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA)
American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE)
Texas Society of Professional Engineers (TSPE)
Congress for the New Urbanism (CNU-A)
Many professionals also successfully use our courses for self-reported continuing education with their licensing boards or other organizations. We recommend checking with your specific certifying body to confirm that BikePedED courses meet their requirements.
Do you offer certification Maintenance credit for the American Planning Association and the American Institute of Certified Planners?
Yes. We are an approved Certification Maintenance Provider for the American Planning Association. Our courses are AICP CM-approved.
Do you provide a certificate of completion?
Yes! Once you complete all lessons and pass the final quiz, your personalized certificate of completion will be automatically emailed to you within minutes. Please contact our support if you do not see that in your inbox after checking your junk mail.

Our platform is web-based, so all you need is a modern web browser (like Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge) and a stable internet connection capable of streaming video. No special software is required. For optimal performance, please use the most up-to-date version of your browser.
Can I watch courses on my phone or tablet?
Yes, the platform is mobile-friendly, allowing you to access courses on smartphones, tablets, or computers, providing flexibility to learn anytime, anywhere.
The video is not playing or is buffering. What should I do?
First, check your internet connection to ensure it is stable. Try refreshing the page or clearing your browser’s cache. If the problem persists, try using a different web browser or device to see if the issue is isolated. If neither of these work, please update your browser version.
