Melissa Bruntlett

Urban Mobility Advocate and Advisor, Mobycon
Melissa Bruntlett is an urban mobility advocate and advisor with a focus on sustainable cities. She is co-author of Building the Cycling City (2018) and Curbing Traffic: The Human Case for Fewer Cars in our Lives (2021), and believes it is imperative to build cities that work for every citizen. Melissa uses her experience as a writer, marketer, and researcher to share the human perspective of multi-modal transport. As a member of Mobycon’s International Team, Melissa supports the development of their international markets, providing capacity building, knowledge sharing, and project management. She works with public and private partners in Europe and North America to develop communications and engagement plans including the Town of Otley, UK, Region of Cévennes Gangeoises and Suménoises, FR and the City of Cambridge, ON. Melissa also developed School Travel Planning programmes in Canada, including for the City of Surrey, engaging with stakeholders, parents/caregivers and children to create comprehensive plans.
